The flavour

A cup that tastes like it was made for you.

Our signature Roost House Blend leads with smooth milk chocolate, settles into toasted hazelnut, and finishes with a bright lift of dried cherry. Balanced enough for a flat white, sweet enough to drink black.

"Four quiet minutes that belong to you."

The feeling

Slow down before the day speeds up.

Good coffee is not just caffeine, it is a ritual. The grind, the bloom, the steam rising off the cup. Roost is built around that small daily ceremony, the one that makes the rest of the morning feel handled.

  • Resealable, light proof bags keep beans fresh to the last scoop.
  • A roast date printed on every bag, never a use by guess.
  • Brew guides tucked in the box for filter, cafetiere and espresso.
Roasted coffee beans cooling in the Roost Yorkshire roastery

Our story

It started with one bad cup of coffee.

In 2016, Maya bought a bag of "fresh" supermarket beans that turned out to be eleven months old. She figured there had to be a better way: roast small, roast often, and post it before it ever had a chance to go flat.

We do one thing, and we do it carefully. Roast the coffee the day before it leaves, and let it taste like the person who grew it meant it to.

The simple way

Four steps to a properly good cup.

No barista training required. This is our go to pour over recipe, the one we drink at the roastery every morning.

Dial in your strength

Set the dial and we will tune the grind, ratio and taste to match.

Cocoa and hazelnut, rounded

Turn the dial, tap a strength, or use the arrow keys.

The pour over, step by step.

Keep the dial in view while you work down the steps. Same method, whatever strength you choose.

Weigh and grind

18g of beans, ground medium, the texture of coarse sea salt. Fresh grinding is where the aroma lives.

Bloom

Pour 50g of water just off the boil and wait 30 seconds while the grounds breathe and swell.

Pour steady

Add water in slow circles up to 300g total. Aim for a calm, even brew of two and a half minutes.

Sit and sip

Let it cool for a minute so the cocoa and hazelnut open up. Mornings, properly.

"I have tried a lot of subscriptions and most arrive tasting tired. Roost is different. You can actually smell the roast date when you open the bag. The House Blend has become my whole morning routine, and the free grinder was a lovely surprise."

Good to know

Questions, answered honestly.

Still curious about freshness, grinds or the subscription? Here are the questions we hear most.

How fresh is the coffee, really?

We roast in small batches the day before we ship and seal each bag immediately, so it reaches you within days of roasting, not months. Every bag carries its roast date so you never have to guess.

Can I choose whole bean or ground?

Both. At checkout you can pick whole bean, or have us grind to match your kit, whether that is filter, cafetiere, AeroPress or espresso. Whole bean stays freshest for longest.

How does the subscription work, and can I cancel?

You choose how many bags and how often (every 2, 4 or 6 weeks), and we time each roast to land as you run low. You can skip a delivery, change your roast, pause, or cancel any time from your account in a couple of clicks. No phone calls, no lock in.

What is the free hand grinder offer?

Start any new subscription and we add a Roost ceramic burr hand grinder (worth £24) to your first box at no extra cost. One per new subscriber while stocks last.

What if I do not love it?

Our taste guarantee is simple: if your first bag is not for you, email us and your next bag is on the house, no return needed. We would rather find you a roast you adore than keep an unhappy cup.

How much is delivery?

UK delivery is free on orders and subscription boxes over £25, and a flat £3.50 below that. Most boxes arrive within 2 to 3 working days of roasting.

Zero risk

Love your first bag, or your next one is free.

We pour real care into every roast, so we are happy to stand behind it. If your first Roost bag does not win you over, tell us, and we will send your next bag free. No forms, no returns, no fuss. That is how confident we are in the cup.
