House Blend
Cocoa, hazelnut, dried cherry. Smooth and crowd pleasing.
Small batch • Roasted to order
Mornings, properly. We roast in tiny batches the day before we ship, so the coffee in your cup tastes the way the roaster intended: alive, aromatic and full of character.
Free hand grinder (worth £24) on your first box. Skip, pause or cancel any time.
Every bag is roasted the day before dispatch, then sealed at peak aroma. Never a stale shelf bag.
Direct trade green beans from farms we know by name, paid above the Fairtrade floor.
Hand roasted in small drum batches at our Yorkshire roastery, then posted straight to you.
The flavour
Our signature Roost House Blend leads with smooth milk chocolate, settles into toasted hazelnut, and finishes with a bright lift of dried cherry. Balanced enough for a flat white, sweet enough to drink black.
Medium roast • whole bean or ground to your kit • 250g and 1kg
"Four quiet minutes that belong to you."
The feeling
Good coffee is not just caffeine, it is a ritual. The grind, the bloom, the steam rising off the cup. Roost is built around that small daily ceremony, the one that makes the rest of the morning feel handled.
Our story
In 2016, Maya bought a bag of "fresh" supermarket beans that turned out to be eleven months old. She figured there had to be a better way: roast small, roast often, and post it before it ever had a chance to go flat.
We do one thing, and we do it carefully. Roast the coffee the day before it leaves, and let it taste like the person who grew it meant it to.

The Roost subscription
Pick your bags, pick your rhythm, and we time each roast to land just as you run low. Save 15% on every box and claim a free hand grinder on your first delivery.
Choose how many 250g bags, then how often.
The simple way
No barista training required. This is our go to pour over recipe, the one we drink at the roastery every morning.
Set the dial and we will tune the grind, ratio and taste to match.
Turn the dial, tap a strength, or use the arrow keys.
Keep the dial in view while you work down the steps. Same method, whatever strength you choose.
18g of beans, ground medium, the texture of coarse sea salt. Fresh grinding is where the aroma lives.
Pour 50g of water just off the boil and wait 30 seconds while the grounds breathe and swell.
Add water in slow circles up to 300g total. Aim for a calm, even brew of two and a half minutes.
Let it cool for a minute so the cocoa and hazelnut open up. Mornings, properly.

"The dried cherry note is real, I was sceptical but it is there. Best black coffee I have had at home."
"Switched my whole office onto the 3 bag box. Delivery is bang on time and pausing over Christmas took two clicks."
"Cosy packaging, honest roast dates, genuinely friendly people when I emailed. This is how coffee should be sold."
"My first bag did not suit my taste so I emailed, and they sent the next one free without any fuss. Stayed for two years now."

Good to know
Still curious about freshness, grinds or the subscription? Here are the questions we hear most.
We roast in small batches the day before we ship and seal each bag immediately, so it reaches you within days of roasting, not months. Every bag carries its roast date so you never have to guess.
Both. At checkout you can pick whole bean, or have us grind to match your kit, whether that is filter, cafetiere, AeroPress or espresso. Whole bean stays freshest for longest.
You choose how many bags and how often (every 2, 4 or 6 weeks), and we time each roast to land as you run low. You can skip a delivery, change your roast, pause, or cancel any time from your account in a couple of clicks. No phone calls, no lock in.
Start any new subscription and we add a Roost ceramic burr hand grinder (worth £24) to your first box at no extra cost. One per new subscriber while stocks last.
Our taste guarantee is simple: if your first bag is not for you, email us and your next bag is on the house, no return needed. We would rather find you a roast you adore than keep an unhappy cup.
UK delivery is free on orders and subscription boxes over £25, and a flat £3.50 below that. Most boxes arrive within 2 to 3 working days of roasting.
Zero risk
We pour real care into every roast, so we are happy to stand behind it. If your first Roost bag does not win you over, tell us, and we will send your next bag free. No forms, no returns, no fuss. That is how confident we are in the cup.
