Three seasons of guiding and it still looks new. The straps carry a heavy load all day without digging in. This is the last pack I will buy.
Built for the long way round
Gear that earns its place on your back.
The Wilder Ridgeline 35 pack and Drylock bottle. Weatherproof, overbuilt, and backed for life. Pack it once, trust it for a decade.
Field rated across 38 countries
Built to last
Carry it hard. Carry it for years.
Most packs fail at the stitch and the zip. We reinforced both, then tested them to destruction so you never have to find the limit on a ridge at dusk.
-
1680D ballistic shell
Abrasion resistant nylon that shrugs off granite, gravel and pannier straps without fraying.
-
Bartacked stress points
Every load bearing seam is double bartacked, the same technique used on climbing harnesses.
-
Storm proof YKK zips
Water resistant coil zips with oversized pulls you can work with frozen fingers or gloves on.
The field rating
Rate it for your terrain.
Pick where you are headed. These are the scores the Ridgeline 35 and Drylock bottle earned in our field test programme, logged across 38 countries from desert heat to alpine snow.
overall field score
Logged conditions: minus 14C, high wind, wet granite. Verdict: keeps its shape and keeps you dry.
Scores are averaged field test results, not lab claims. Your mileage varies with load and weather.

From the trail
Worn in, written up.
Got caught in a full day of rain on the West Highland Way. Everything inside stayed bone dry. The bottle kept water cold the whole walk.
Snagged a zip pull on a fence. Emailed Wilder, they sent a repair kit and walked me through it. No charge, no fuss. That is why I trust them.
Took the kit across Patagonia for five weeks. Wind, grit, river crossings. It did not flinch once. The fit on a long carry is genuinely the best I have used.
I am hard on gear and expected to replace this within a year. Two years in and it is still my daily. Worth every penny over the cheap stuff I kept rebuying.
Bought the kit for a thru hike and the saving paid for my trail snacks. The pack carries 35 litres like it is half that. Cannot fault it.

Why Wilder
Not your big box pack.
Chain store gear is built to a price and replaced on a cycle. Wilder is built to a standard and backed for life. The difference shows up on day 200, not day one.
This drop closes Sunday at midnight, and Moss (the most popular trail kit colour) is nearly gone.
