It started with a pair that died on a delayed train.
Our founder was stranded on a late-running service with flagship earbuds that had run flat by mid-morning, muddy bass, a fit that slipped, and a price tag that felt like a punishment. There had to be a better way to do this.
So we borrowed bench time in a small acoustics lab and started measuring. Not marketing curves, real ones: how a driver actually moves, where the seal leaks, why a cheap tuning tricks you in a shop and tires you by lunch. We rebuilt the earbud from the driver out, and refused to ship anything that did not earn its place in the box.
Cobalt is what came out the other side. The same engineering the big names charge a premium for, sold direct, tuned to sound honest, and built to last for years rather than seasons.
Honest sound, an invisible fit, a fair price. We would not launch until all three were true.
