Built by operators, for operators.
We are merchants who got tired of Shopify themes that looked great in a screenshot and then quietly leaked sales. So we built the store we always wished we could buy: fast, editable, and engineered to convert.
For years we ran our own direct-to-consumer stores, and we kept hitting the same wall.
A theme would look beautiful on the demo, then we would launch it and watch the add-to-cart rate sit flat. The hero looked nice but said nothing. The product page buried the trust badges, the reviews, and the offer below three folds of decoration. There was no clean way to test a sticky buy bar, a comparison block, or a real bundle module without writing it from scratch.
So we did what most merchants do: we reached for apps. A page builder here, an upsell app there, a reviews widget, a sticky-cart plugin. Each one solved a small problem and added a new one. The monthly bill crept past what the theme had cost in the first place. Pages rendered through someone else's app, so they loaded slower and broke on theme updates. We were renting the most important part of our store and paying for the privilege every month.
Eventually we stopped patching and started building. We took the conversion patterns that had actually moved revenue for us (clear value-first heroes, honest social proof placed where it matters, tidy bundle and subscription layouts, fast product pages) and we packaged them into clean Shopify themes built natively on Online Store 2.0. Everything is editable in the standard theme editor. There is no app rendering your pages, no monthly fee, and almost no JavaScript getting in the way of a fast load.
That is Sellblocks: 40 premium themes and a growing library of 100 sections, designed by people who have actually had to make a store pay for itself. You install it once, you own it forever, and it is yours to edit. No agency invoice, no subscription, no lock-in.
Three things shape every theme we ship.
Conversion over decoration
A store is not a portfolio piece, it is a checkout machine. Every section earns its place by helping a visitor understand, trust, and buy. If a flourish does not move the needle, it does not ship.
Speed is a feature
Slow pages lose buyers before they ever see the offer. Our themes run on near-zero JavaScript, lazy-loaded responsive images, and no app bloat, so the page is ready when the shopper is.
You should own your store
Your storefront is too important to rent. Pay once and own it forever: no subscription, no app holding your pages hostage, and full control inside the native Shopify theme editor.
Not a page builder. Not a bargain-bin theme.
There are two common ways to dress up a Shopify store. Both leave money on the table. Here is where we sit instead.
Page builders & bargain themes
- Page-builder apps charge a monthly fee, so you keep paying long after launch.
- Pages render through the app, which adds weight and slows your load times.
- App-rendered layouts can break on theme updates and lock your content inside the tool.
- Cheap marketplace themes look generic and are designed to display products, not to convert them.
- You are left bolting on extra apps to add the bundles, reviews, and sticky cart that should have come built in.
Own it, edit it, ship fast
- Pay once and own it forever: no subscription and nothing to cancel.
- Built natively on Online Store 2.0, so pages are real theme code, not app output.
- Fast and lightweight by design: near-zero JavaScript and lazy responsive images.
- Conversion patterns (bundles, comparison blocks, social proof, sticky buy bar) are built in, not bolted on.
- Fully editable in the standard Shopify theme editor, and it works on any OS 2.0 theme.
